Yesterday we headed down to the financial district on a mission to find the Wall St bull.
We saw:
The New York Stock Exchange
The Trump Tower
This cool building (not entirely sure what it is)
Wall St christmas tree (such a massive real pine tree)
An amish man
We finally found the bull and there was a MASSIVE line to get a picture with it. So we just took some snapshots of the bull with random people instead
We then walked down to Battery Park to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and caught the ferry over to Staten Island, past the statue of liberty and the immigration museum on Ellis Island
After getting off the ferry, we went on a hunt for somewhere to have lunch... which was an epic fail. And it was freezing. So we saw about a block of Staten Island and went back to the ferry terminal, had some epic subway and got back on the ferry to Manhattan.

Christmas Day
We were woken on Christmas day by 2 very excited young boys ready to open presents. After exchanging presents and having a lovely breakfast of danishes and fruit accompanied by Peppermint mochas, we had a lazy morning getting ready and headed down to the Meat packing district for our Christmas Lunch at Pastis (french restaurant).
The food was delicious and the bubbly even more delicious!
After lunch we made our way back to the hotel and put on extra layers before walking down to Central Park to go Ice Skating.
The line was really long.
We then retreated back to the hotel where we ate more delicious salads and ham and bread and fruit and crackers and cheese and chips and wine from the Amish markets. The wine was not so delicious but also not as expensive (beggers can't be choosers).

Christmas Eve
It was super weird waking up on Christmas Eve in New York and knowing that it was Christmas at home but it being too early to txt or call anyone!
We got up and had a lazy morning, then did some grocery shopping at the Amish Market for xmas day before heading down to the Madison Square Gardens Theatre and watching 'How the Grinch stole Christmas'. The musical was super cute and christmassy!
That evening we went to the Stardust Diner for dinner where all of the wait staff are trying to get onto Broadway. They walk around the restaurant serving and singing songs and dancing. Was great!
Then back to the hotel for cookies and hot cocoas and an early night!

Central Park Zoo
On Sunday we went down to Central Park Zoo which was super cute! It's
the zoo that the animals escape from in Madagascar (but we were
surprised to see that none of those animals - zebra, lion, hippo etc,
were in the zoo).
Sea Lion
Goat stuck on Log
Red Panda

Party Time
On Friday we went out to Soho to do some shopping and fell in love with a lot of gorgeous clothes that were a little out of our price range. We both made a couple of cheap purchases and then escaped back to our hotel before we could do too much damage to our bank accounts.
That evening we were invited to go to a party with some of the Abercrombie & Fitch models. We went out for dinner and a couple of drinks first as we weren't meeting them until 11.30pm.
Then went back to the apartment to get ready and caught the subway down to the meat packing district. We walked into the hotel and it was themed like an amazing winter wonderland with giant polar bears etc
Then we caught the elevator up to the top floor to a penthouse bar with amazing views of the city and the empire state building etc.
We were ushered to a booth with free food and champagne where we hung out for a bit. Then we found out this bar was just the place everyone goes for drinks and dinner (at midnight) before heading to the nightclub. We all left around 1am and went to a club around the corner where we once again were taken to a vip private booth thing and had an awesome night! We didn't take many photos cause we wanted to seem cool haha
