Downtown LA, Hollywood & Beverly Hills

On our 2nd to last day in LA we spent the morning at the Grove which is a massive shopping complex in Hollywood. After walking into one shop and wanting to buy EVERYTHING we knew we were in trouble so when we were stopped by a producer asking if we wanted to be in the audience for Extra (an entertainment news show) we were happy to agree, just to keep ourselves out of any more shops.

Turns out Mario Lopez was the host along with Maria Menounos (runner up on Dancing with the Stars). Dr Drew (psychiatrist to the stars) was on along with a dermatologist to the stars who has created a limited edition (100 packs) skin care set with Oprah Winfrey and we were given one of the packs each yay!

After the Grove, we met up with the dancing group and went to the California ScienCenter where we saw the Endeavour Spaceship.

Then we went into Downtown LA for a look around at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and City Hall and their giant Cathedral.

We then hopped back on the bus to head to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and explore Chinese Mann's Theatre and the footprints/handprints in the concrete, The Dolby theatre (formerly Kodak theatre) where the Oscars are held, got a great view of the Hollywood Sign & the Willy Wonka store.

Our last stop for the day was Beverly Hills - we saw one of the houses Marilyn Monroe lived in, went for a walk down Rodeo Drive & stole cookies & apples (free to take for guests) from the Beverly Wilshire hotel where Pretty Women was filmed.
