We started the day on Saturday with a Behind the Scenes Tour of the New Amsterdam Theatre where the Mary Poppins Broadway show is held. The lady taking the tour was amazing and we got to stand on the stage and sing and dance, as well as see some of the props from the Disney Broadway shows and she told us all about the history of the theatre (which was actually really interesting. The theatre was the first theatre on 42nd Street in 1903 and was completely refurbished in the 1990's by Disney in an attempt to clean up the reputation of 42nd Street.

We tried to go exploring on the Hop on Hop off bus after this but it was way too busy in the traffic so instead we went to Macy's, which was also too busy as it was a saturday, so we retreated back to the hotel and spent the afternoon having some time out before going to see Mary Poppins on Broadway that night.
