After
an early night in, having a bit of a pj party with the girls getting
psyched for vegas, we piled onto the bus with huge excitement. Today was
VEGAS DAY!! Good news was we had time on our side as we were crossing
into pacific time, but it was another long haul. First stop was at the
historic site of route 66 – Seligman Arizona - the real Radiator Springs
from the movie Cars. It was raining and miserable, but as the good
daughters we are, we stood in the rain to take photos for our doting
fathers (who would have shot us if we missed the opportunity!) We saw
the real Mater (tow truck from the movie) and took some cute touristy
photos, but mainly we just wanted to get back on the road to Sin City.
Lunch stop was at our last Walmart visit of the tour, and the
compulsory eating of In & Out Burger (even if we did order like
girls and get a cheeseburger normal rather than ‘animal style’ or any of
the other ways off the secret menu...*google it.)
We drove past the Hoover Dam and Lake Meade... The largest man made lake in the world. Very cool!

The next time we got off the bus, it was at the official Vegas sign!! Very excitable as you can imagine.
It
was hot, we were amped, and the Superbowl was due to kick off so we
checked in, bought a souvenir tshirt and got ready for the game of the
year.
The majority of us ended up crammed into the one hotel room as the
game turned out to be a nail biter (did you watch it?!) with Monte
freaking out because hes a crazy 49ers fan, and a few of the guys were
going for the Ravens just to mess with him.
Straight after the game we all piled back onto the bus for a family
style Italian dinner, and then a trip down to old Vegas and The Fremont
Street Experience. We purchased some 99c margaritas, and unsuccessfully
tried a few slot machines before heading back onto the bus for our next
destination.
Mysteriously, the bus ‘broke down’ outside the Little Graceland
Chapel so we all piled inside *some us knowing that it was all a hoax
and we were in for a surprise...* and we had a contiki wedding! Its a
bit of a tradition apparently, but instead of choosing randoms to say
the vows, Kelly and Dylan (in a 5 year strong relationship) got picked
and had to say I DO, Elvis style. It was very entertaining!
Back onto the bus it was, for the ‘Wedding Reception’. We went to
Pure bar in Caesar’s Palace and had a wicked awesome night, where the
girls got in for free, and the boys had to buy all the drinks
