We finally managed to get a bit of a sleep in in Vegas before getting up and eating from theee largest breakfast buffet we had ever seen. It was out of control!
We had a completely free day with no plans apart from a show and drinks that night so we set out onto the strip to explore and shop!
The strip is so much longer than we imagined and insaaaane. Very cleverly set out in that you can't just walk along the footpath - you have to wind through all the casinos and stores to get anywhere. Sneaky sneaky vegas!
We wandered around the casinos and took pictures of some of the impressive buildings.
We then made our way over to the Stratosphere tower (similar to the skytower) which is 112 floors high. Went up the top and got a few snaps of vegas from the air. Were very amused by how quickly it goes from city to mountains!
Next was shopping o'clock in the giiiiant shopping centre on the strip where we made some cute purchases and managed to lose each other in the shops as they were so big... Thank god for wireless internet!
Then we went back to the hotel via Fat Tuesdays (a frozen daiquiri bar) where we had the most potent jell-o shot of our lives and a delicious frozen orange concoction before getting ready for the evening ahead.
The entire contiki group went to the V Variety Show in the miracle mile shops (Planet Hollywood) and it was AMAZING. The host was a hilarious juggler who could juggle ping pong balls from his mouth and bounce balls on a keyboard to play the tune of fur elise. There were latino percussionists who used whips as their instruments, aerial dancers, a magician, 2 increddddible tap dancers and a roller skating couple who did their entire act on a tiny elevated stage with the man spinning the girl round in all these amazing positions! After the show we had a limo ride down the strip before heading to XS nightclub in the Wynn hotel.Click here to see how insane it is! This is the bar that Paris Hilton was arrested at and Prince Harry got into a lot of trouble at recently. We were given free alcohol in the limos and free drink vouchers in the club... needless to say it was a very big, but awesome, night!
