Last day in NYC

The 3rd was our last day in NYC and the perfect weather conditions to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Clear skies but freeeeezing cold.
We caught the subway over to Brooklyn and after grabbing coffee and breakfast on the go from a cute little café, we wandered over to the underpass which lead us up onto the bridge. The views of manhattan were amazing, and thanks to the perfect weather, we could see Lady Liberty and Ellis Island in one direction and the Manhattan and Williamsburgh bridges in the other. We found ‘love locks’ on different poles across the bridge, and tried to find the middle point where Miranda and Steve (SATC) declared their love for each other.

After the bridge, we stumbled upon city hall, and a few other cool buildings.

En route back to the hotel we browsed through shops down the lower end of broadway – with the sole purpose to find another bag to accommodate our ever expanding suitcases!
That evening we headed out to Jersey City to watch Disney on Ice at the IZOD Center. It was AMAZING – Mickey, Minnie and friends; Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lion King, Little Mermaid and some delightful Princess action at the end. – A perfect end to our time in NYC.
