On our Second day in New Orleans we wandered down through the French Quarter to the Presbytere in Jackson Square.
In the Presbytere was a cute little museum with exhibits on Mardi Gras & Hurricane Katrina.
Right next door to the Presbytere is the Saint Louis Cathedral - a pretty cathedral that looks like a castle. We snuck inside to have a look around.
After Jackson Square we went to a cafe for some more Creole cuisine and tried a Muffaleto. A giant sandwich with ham, salami, olive salad and some more meat. Was pretty delicious!
We then wandered through the Historic District in search of the Before I Die wall - a big house wall converted into a giant chalkboard for people to write their bucket lists on. Turns out the wall was taken down at the end of 2011, but we did see some historic houses.
After this we made our way down the Mississippi river and caught the ferry across the river to get a nice view of New Orleans.
Had a quiet night preparing ourselves for Contiki which we were starting the next day ahhhh.
