Miami

We woke up yesterday bright and early due to a loud rubbish truck right outside our window. Got out of bed and jumped in the car ready for the road trip to Miami and excited to get some sunshine. Caffiene was number one priority so we went through the Starbucks drive thru at Key Largo very excited to have a delicious Caramel Frappacino. After tasting it and looking at each other we both burst into laughter and agreed that it infact tasted like bumholes. Took the coffee back into starbucks (defeating the point of the drive thru) and asked them to fix it. The second one tasted like slightly weaker bumholes, but our desire for sunshine won out and we rolled with it and got back on the road.

A few snaps from the drive into miami:

We drove over to South Beach and had lunch at a cafe across from the promenade. Both ordered a glass of coke with lunch... Got the bill and discovered we were charged $9.50 EACH  for our glass of coke. WHAT THE HECK?! Welcome to Miami apparently. So glad we were only there one day.

After draining as much as we could out of our cokes we headed over to the beach and walked down the beach soaking up the sun (managed to get tan lines yayyy).

We then walked back down towards little blue via the art deco section of the main street and saw lots of pretty art deco hotels and houses including the Versace Mansion.

Jumped in little blue, got some delicious smoothies, attempted to send gifts home but the post office was closed (sorry) and then made tracks towards our hotel for the night. On the way we stopped at the Venician Pools in Coral Gables (a historic public pool). The pools were shut (we already knew they were going to be) and the pool was empty but we snuck a peak through the gates anyway and took a few pics.

Spent the evening whipping up a delicious dinner and doing as much washing as possible before the start of our contiki at the end of the week eeeee!

Oh and ps. In miami there's big canals that have super flash houses and yachts anchored up to the docks. Pretty cool!
